Learn German quickly and effectively

The intensive German course generally runs from Monday to Friday and focusses on quick and lasting learning success! Intensive support and daily repetition of learning content accelerate your learning progress. With a maximum of 16 participants in a class, you are closely supported by one of our highly qualified tutors. You also have access to our well stocked media library for self-study.

In addition to the language classes, the intensive German course includes a diverse cultural and leisure programme. Discover Düsseldorf and its surrounds on exciting excursions and use your knowledge of German directly while getting to know German culture.

The Goethe-Institut Düsseldorf is centrally located, not far from the main railway station, and is very easy to reach. Just a short walk away is the Japanese quarter, where you can experience the cultural diversity of the city up close. Those who love elegant designer fashion and charming boutiques can reach the famous Königsallee in just a few minutes by underground. After class, you can dive into Düsseldorf's nightlife in the old town, which, with its many bars and restaurants, is also known as the "longest bar in the world".

The Course System

With us, you can profit from a modular system of courses at levels A1 to C2. Courses are geared to each other and can be combined together. We’ll asses your suitable course level with a placement test before commencing the course.

The number of lessons that are generally required to reach a certain level and take the relevant exam for the Goethe certificate is based on experience. Individual factors such as language learning experience and the other languages you speak or have learnt already play an important role in this. To achieve an optimum learning success, we will assess your level prior to the course.
